Maharat Program

The Maharat Program is one of the initiatives of the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF “Hadaf”). This promising national program aims to develop the skills of employees in the private sector and the registered non-profit sector through the National Employment Portal “Taqat.”

The program is offered in partnership with Institute of Research and Consulting Studies, University of Hail and aims to:

  • Increase opportunities for career advancement and job stability for employees.

  • Improve work environments in these sectors by bridging the gap between the skills required by the labor market and employees’ current skills.

Program Objectives: Preparation and Development

  • Preparing and Developing Job Seekers according to labor market needs.

  • Developing Employee Skills in the private sector to support their retention and stability at work.

Training and Qualification for Job Seekers

The program aims to:

  • Enhance job seekers’ skills by enrolling them in training programs covering general and specialized professional skills.

  • Provide and recommend job opportunities.

  • Help reduce the gap between job requirements and job seekers’ skills.

Target Audience: Job seekers, with the condition that employment must match the job titles trained for in the private sector.

Supporting Job Seeker Training

  • Eligible job seekers receive an accredited training certificate.

  • Achieve the approved attendance rate of 70%.

  • Employment of the job seeker after the start of the training program, provided the employment field aligns with the supported training program.

Training Duration and Type

  • Duration: 5 training days

  • Total: 40 training hours

  • Mode: Classroom (In-person)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a Saudi national.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Must be registered on the National Employment Platform “Jadarah.”

  • Must be a job seeker.

  • Each beneficiary is entitled to two training programs: one in general skills and one in professional skills. Eligibility for other HRDF-supported programs is not affected.

  • Sign the electronic acknowledgment and terms & conditions through the unified National Employment Platform (Jadarah), agreeing to comply with the Maharat Program rules.
